Giesemann Aquaristic revealed at InterZoo 2016 in Nuremberg Germany that they will soon be offering water test kits for a range of important water chemistry parameters.
Better known for making high end reef aquarium lights with sports car paint jobs, as well as many different types of lamps and a limited selection of aquariums, Giesemann’s foray into consumable products is an interesting new direction for the German aquarium product company.
The Giesemann water tests will include all the major parameters that are important to basic aquarium keeping such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. There will also be more reef aquarium specific parameters like calcium, magnesium, alkalinity, phosphate, iron, iodine and potassium, as well as more coming in the near future.
Giesemann describes their water tests as extremely precise, and easy to use at a price point that should be attractive and affordable for all aquarists. What makes these test kits up to the Giesemann standard of quality is calibrated droppers to ensure precise and uniform drops, high quality reagents with tight batch quality control and easy to use intuitive pictorial diagrams.
