Bubble Magus has enjoyed moderate success with its Wave Controller C1, enough so that they’ve seen fit to redesign a new generation of the device. We spotted the newly overhauled Wave Controller C1 at InterZoo 2016 and were taken by how well refined the new controller appears.
The next generation Wave Controller C1 has all the same functions as its predecessor, with support for controlling up to four pumps one two different channels. In addition to the much more refined appearance, the new Wave Controller C1 is now a glossy black overall, with just a single dial for adjusting power intensity and pulse frequency.
There are now four buttons on the controller and pressing the power+pulse button allows users to cycle between power or pulse. The adjustment dial is now ringed with an arc of indicator LEDs to better illustrate the minimum and maximum flow rate or pulsing speed.
The new look of the Wave Controller C1 we encountered at InterZoo 2016 was a prototype unit which may or may not be the final form when it is released. Perhaps some kind of basic markers for min and max could be helpful additions when Bubble Magus begins shipping this new and improved version of their water pump controller, and we expect the look and feel to trickle up to their C2 protein skimmer driver and C3 DC pump controller.
