Twist-in Filtration is a new form of water purification from Aquatic Life. The twist-in form factor of Aquatic Life’s new filtration system streamlines the process of using and servicing this filtration, and it reduces the cost too.
Aquatic Life is offering the twist-in filtration for a range of application, from simple pre-filtering, to deionization, all the way to full-on reverse osmosis. Rather than having big clunky canisters that you open up and replace cartridges from, the twist-in filtration cartridges are the canisters, reducing overall space and cost of ownership.
There are two basic units in the Aquatic Life twist-in filtration range, a two-stage deionization setup for for $44.95, and mechanical plus carbon block for $39.95. Stepping up from that there’s a three-stage system with sediment, carbon and membrane cartridges for $109, or you can get all three stages plus deionization for $125.
The replacement cartridges for Aquatic Life’s new twist-in filtration are also surprisingly cheap. Replacement sediment cartridges cost as little as $8 a piece, $10 for carbon blocks, $45 for 100 gallon per day membranes and deionization cartridges for $30. The cost of some of these can be shaved down further by getting 4-packs of the sediment or carbon chambers.
Aquatic Life has been aggressively offering a wide range of water purifying systems for home aquariums since the launch of the company. It’s incredible to think that once upon a time the Aquatic Life Power Deluxe R.O. was one of the best systems you could get, but compared to the new twist-in water filters for a fraction of the price and probably equally pure water, their newest water filters are offering a value that can’t be beat.
