Aquarium Life Support Systems has officially announced its Calanus food product line based on providing quality food at a lower price to appeal to the value-conscious hobbyist. The new AquaLife CALA-fin line features freeze-dried Calanus marine zooplankton in two sizes and a liquid form.
Calanus Marine Zooplankton gives you all the concentrated nutrition and color-enhancing pigments for all types of marine and freshwater fish that consume zooplankton, in a easy to store and use form. The 25 gram jar contains natural copepods from the Arctic Ocean frozen within minutes of harvest to preserve maximum nutrition.
The company notes the copepods feed on abundant phytoplankton making them full of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and important anti-oxidants. They note the product is minimally processed, to retains high levels of the color enhancing pigment astaxanthin.
