ReefStock 2017 was a smashing success and while we were too busy actually running the show, thankfully we had some back up. Joey Mullen of DIY Fishkeeper was one of the speakers, and it was great to see his reaction to the massive spread of corals, and to see his style of live event video production.
Where Mile High Reefers made their video from the point of view of a local and a regular visitor of ReefStock, this was Joey’s first major reef aquarium event and the glee in his experience is clear to see. Masses of people, huge spreads of corals, and more great new aquarium gear than you can shake a stick at all feature prominently in Joey’s ReefStock video.
Although the King of DIY is a freshwater aquarist at heart, we might have gotten him infected with the saltwater aquarium bug. It’ll be interesting to see if he ups the number of saltwater videos on his youtube channel, but in the meantime it’s great to see that freshwater attendees to ReefStock found more than just a concentration of saltwater aquarium goodness.
