FogKicker
There is nothing worse than starting a dive, and a few minutes in your mask starts to fog up. Once you’ve underwater all you can do to clear the fog is adding some water, flushing it over the lenses and then clear your mask.
When it comes to diving I have the worst luck with my mask and always end up getting fogged up. It’s the worst, nothing sucks the fun out of diving like having a foggy mask and missing out on the underwater action. And it seems no matter how much a spit, scour with toothpaste, or add anti-fog drops, my mask is still foggy.
So we were excited to find FogKicker, a new high-performance anti-fog solution that can be coated on any surface to prevent fog. Could FogKicker be the magic potion we’ve all been waiting for?
FogKicker is 10x more water-resistant than any other anti-fog products on the market and a single coating on the inside of your dive lens prevents fog for multiple dives. The product dries clear and is biodegradable and non-irritation.
FogKicker was developed by a university research lab in 2014 using advanced nanocellulose biopolymers to prevent fog. Nanocellulose is the building block of all plant life on Earth. It’s what makes plant stems, leaves, and branches strong and durable and is the most abundant organic polymer on Earth. It’s stronger than steel, stiffer than Kevlar, transparent, super-absorbent, and biodegradable.
We picked up a bottle of FogKicker at the Scuba Show and will be sure to test in out and report back! You can buy your own FogKicker stick online for $8.95 or check with your local dive shop to see if they carry this exciting new product.
