There’s a whole boat load of incredible corals at Reefapalooza this weekend but a few groups of them really stood out from the crowd. Among these were a crop of truly mind-blowing Trachyphyllia that were as colorful as they were showy and large.
This huge batch of Trachies was apparently part of large influx from Australia and included reds, greens, rainbows, and plenty of gold-accented pieces, but all of them very large. Very few of these jumbo show Trachies were less than two-handed corals – not a good fit for most home reef tanks but definitely a killer sight to see!
This is just a teaser post of pictures and a short video clip because we’re saving the the full reveal for our Reefapalooza wrap-up video coming out later this weekend. Be sure to subscribe for the best coral video eye candy on the web as you won’t want to miss this and future episodes of the smokin-hot Reef Builders Youtube channel!
