The reef aquarium community wouldn’t be the same without fancy corals or exotic fish, but it would be nothing without the people – all you reefers out there. Attending so many reefing shows this year really drove that point home for me, especially seeing the enthusiasm of reef keepers all over the world.
When we get in a rut, or get into an uninspired groove, all it takes is getting together with some reefing pals to reignite that fire again. This is probably a large part of success with shows like Reefapalooza, that strong sense of community that’s been fostered through the years.
In a rare detour from the focus on Corals/Gear/Fish we took a hard left to step back and chat up the people who come to Reefapalooza. Everyone from the reefers, the noobies with their first nano, the artists and manufacturers, we all bring our own contribution to the reef scene and it’s this eclectic diversity that makes reefing great, and better all the time.
