I’ve been accused of having a ‘one track mind’, especially when it comes to corals and diving in far flung countries. That’s 99% true, most of the time I just want to know how everything pertains to the coral reefs we cherish, but once in a while it’s possible to make a small detour and appreciate the magic happening on the land.
This was especially the case in Papua New Guinea earlier this year when I had the chance to visit the wonderful Adventure Park just outside of Port Moresby. This medium sized rural installation has one of the most incredible collections of plants and animals from this very exotic place in the world.
I’m talking Birds of Paradise, Tree Kangaroos, tons of rare parrot species and a sprawling orchid garden that will make your head spin. There’s a YUGE crocodile at the park as well but he just sits there like a log unless it’s getting fed.
I hope you enjoy this little vlog video of my day at the park, I consider it therapy for being 100% fixated on marinelife, and it’s so much easier to take pictures and video on land than it is underwater.
