Paralenz Dive Camera
The conditions that come with capturing your scuba diving adventures are quite different than say surfing or snowboarding, so Paralenz built an action camera specifically for this one-of-a-kind sport. As we go dive deeper light becomes absorbed, colors fade, and great pressure is exerted on our bodies and gear.
To combat color loss, Paralenz has an internal depth sensor which communicates with the camera to automatically adjust color for photo and video, and is the first camera to use onboard Depth Color Correction. Record video in 1080p at 30fps for three and a half hours, or 4k at 30fps for two hours and fifteen minutes.
This durable camera is made of military grade aluminum and polycarbonate, making it lightweight, yet strong enough to withstand pressure down to 200m (650 feet). Most action cameras on the market are rated to 40m (130 feet) and you risk flooding your device should you take them any deeper.
The Paralenz camera is popular amongst tech divers for its deep diving capabilities and hands-free filming. Paralenz camera can be attached to the side of a dive mask and has a simple dial and trigger device for quick recording.
The onboard depth sensor also comes in handy after the dive when you can download your profile and even overlay depth and temperature information with your footage. Paralenz also logs your dives, which you can upload and share from the Paralenz app.
One of the most interesting accessories for the Paralenz in the 3rd person viewer. The device has two floats which cradle the camera for stability. The telescoping carbon fiber arm uses magnets to attach to your scuba tank and can extend up to a 180cm (70″).
Paralenz is now available starting at $599.00 [Paralenz]
