Scubapro BCD Glide and Bella
Scubapro introduced a comfortable redesign to their popular Glide and Bella BCDs with a simple yet effective shoulder strap modification. The new model BCD have a V-shaped strap which hugs your chest creating a snug streamline fit.
The V-strap replaces rotating shoulder buckles with a solid triangular ring connected to a quick release chest buckle. The new shape stops shoulder straps from moving across your torse.
As a dive, I am notorious for not buckling the upper check strap, as I’ve always found they ride up my chest ending more or less under my chin. However, the Bella with a closed chest strap is one of the most comfortable BCDs I’ve tried on.
The Glide is the men’s version and the Bella is the female version. Both are jacket style BCDs with strategically placed padding, adjustable cummerbund, and wraparound air bladder which retains its cradle shape even when fully inflated. Both come with integrated weight system, zippered pockets, and D-rings for carrying accessories.
