We’re always so preoccupied with seeking out new tanks, reef gear and reef life to tell you about that we rarely have the time, or inclination, to look inward. To remedy this I invited Scott Anderson of Mile High Reefers to come over and check out my primary reef tank so he could put together a long-requested video.
In this installment Scott asks me about my reef tank equipment with special emphasis on everything that makes this tank work. This sixty gallon cube aquarium doesn’t have many fish, but it is jam-packed with coral. This system doesn’t use a controller, but everything is controllable.
The selection of all the equipment for this medium sized reef aquarium has been very carefully thought out and considered for my particular style of reefing. This means healthy corals, good growth rates, eye-popping colors and most of all, I just really enjoy the heck out of it! Scott did a great job highlighting all the reef gear on part one of this video and I can’t wait to see what he did for part two which will focus on the corals and reef life.
