IceCap has been busy recently and among its latest releases are the next iteration of the gyre pump dubbed the IceCap 1K Gyre Flow Pump. Similar to the IceCap 3K Gyre Flow pumps we saw last year, the IceCap 1K Gyre licenses the MaxSpect technology but delivering a more budget-friendly option.
The IceCap 1K gets its name from its 1,000 GPH flow rating that will be beneficial for smaller tanks in the 20-50 gallon range. It uses a single magnetic mount and even has a side cap for a more “single propeller” mode for smaller nano tanks.
Like the larger IceCap 3K, that is rated at 3,000 GPH, the IceCap 1K has five controllable flow modes and a programmable 24-hour flow period.
The new IceCap 1K comes with a power supply, single side cap, controller and magnet mount rated for tanks up to 1/2 in. thick. The IceCap 1K Gyre retails for $129.99.
