Besides adding phytoplankton to the aquavitro line, Seachem has been touting a few new things at Global Pet Expo including updates to NutriDiet flake foods, a strong push for the new Vibrant Sea salt and a couple of new adhesives for fragging and aquascaping.
First off is the news that their line of NutriFlake food is getting some updates, most notably adding probiotics for better fish health by improving nutrient uptake and waste management. On top of this, they are also adding more sizes and from what we can tell are a 15g and 500g versions.
We touched on Vibrant Sea the new salt from Seachem late last year and it looks like the potassium rich salt is ready for prime time. The enhanced potassium levels, along with other levels of major, minor, and trace components are designed for reef aquariums and bringing out the colors in your coral.
Finally, we noticed a pair of fragging or aquascaping adhesives that don’t look like anything “new” on the market, but are new to the company. First is CoralCrete a purple epoxy more useful for attaching frags to rocks or rocks together. It appears to be your typical knead together two-part that will give you a nice purple color to blend in like coraline algae. The other is aquavitro Bond that is hard to tell exactly what it is. From the package we are wondering if its a type of super thick cyanoacrylate glue or if its the reusable plastic beads that you just heat up in water.
Its good to see Seachem adding more to its products and we look forward to sharing more information in the coming weeks.
