Scuba Diving Magazine
Hey there ReefDivers!
For those of you who have been following us since the beginning, I wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU!! Without your support, I wouldn’t be able to continue growing my passion and inspiring scuba divers around the world to see the reef with new eyes.
Today I have a big announcement, Coral Spotting has gone viral, and we’re bringing coral identification to the centre stage with a monthly column in Scuba Diving Magazine!! Coral Spotting is a term we’ve coined here on ReefDivers.io to represent our mission of scuba diving with the intention to see corals.
Corals are the foundation of the marine environment and deserve our attention. Often corals get lumped together under the term coral reef which is far to general to describe the diversity and abundance of life on the reef. Once you learn to identify corals, your perception of the underwater landscape evolves, and diving will never be the same way again.
Now you can follow along with our Caribbean Coral Identification series with a monthly coral spotting column in Scuba Diving Magazine. Below is an exclusive look at my first column about Acropora palmata, and introduction by Mary Frances Emmons below.
To follow along with the rest of the series, grab yourself a year’s subscription by signing up at the Scuba Diving Magazine website. You can also purchase a digital copy of each issue by downloading the Scuba Diving Magazine app by Bonnier corp.
