See The Reef With New Eyes
Are you interested to learn more about coral diversity from the Indo Pacific? Join us this week where we will be giving a live presentation at the Yoga Shack in Nusa Lembongan. If you want to learn to spot coral diversity and see the reef with new eyes come down at 6:30 for this one-hour presentation.
Corals are a diverse community of animals and often this diversity of life gets overlooked. Learning to identify corals, and diving with the intention of spotting corals, evolves your perception of the underwater landscape and diving will never be the same way again.
The presentation will cover my philosophy of coral spotting, and what makes searching for corals an exciting treasure hunt. We will also talk about some common coral species you can find in the Indo-Pacific and also some rare and unusual species you will want to add to your coral diving bucket list.
Some of the species we will talk about are, Acropora, Euphyllia, Echinopora, Turbinaria, Montipora, Trachyphyllia, Plerogyra, Symphyllia, Mycedium, and Lobophyllia. Pictures below in the same order.
Ask questions about coral reefs and coral identification, bring along some coral pictures if you want something identified!
This presentation will be hosted by the Marine Megafauna Foundation, as part of their weekly marine lecture series. Can’t make it to the island? Tune into the ReefDivers.io Facebook page at 6:30 Bali Time (GMT+8) and catch the Facebook LIVE feed.
