Cockatoo Cute
This relatively new species of squid is called the cockatoo squid and its just toooooo cute! Cockatoo squid, more formally known as members of the genus Taonius, are typically in deeper waters (around 300m). This one was spotted during a recent dive over Quinault Canyon, part of the NOAA’s Olympic Coast National Marine Reserve, which lies off Washington state.
Hawaii Bans Sunscreens that Damage Coral Reefs

Hawaii is taking reef health to heart banning all sunscreens that contain chemicals known to be harmful to coral reefs. If you’re heading there and flying on Hawaiian Airlines, they will give you a free sample and a discount on Raw Elements reef-safe sunscreen.
What a Dolt!
What sick person takes a stranded dolphin home from the beach? Guess the man in this video is one. This man was recently captured on video in China, where dolphins are protected species, taking the animal from the beach, throwing it in his car and driving away! What a dolt!

China to Open Longest Sea Bridge
China is set to open its most ambitious megaproject yet, a bridge that connects Hong Kong, Macau, and the mainland’s southern city of Zhuhai. Stretching 34 miles, it’s the world’s longest cross-sea bridge.
