What to Expect
The Ocean Gardener coral farm has been growing in Bali for more than eighteen years. During your visit to the farm, you will learn about coral biology and how to identify corals. Then you will take a snorkeling tour of the coral farm and plant your own coral fragment to help restore the coral reef.
On the farm, there is an incredible diversity of coral. First, you will find racks of maricultured corals which are being grown for aquariums. Next to the smaller colonies, you will find larger broodstock corals which are being used for farming and coral restoration. Some of the older parts of the coral farm have now become thriving artificial reefs over twelve and fifteen years old.
This is a half day snorkeling tour in Bali Indonesia. You can only access the coral farm at low tide. If you want to take a tour first visit the Ocean Gardener website to book a tour and select the dates you would like to go.
A time will appear below your date indicating what time works best that day for a tour. Note there are some days when tides do not allow a tour so make sure to plan ahead and check for dates throughout your stay in Bali. Minimum of two people. Transport from your hotel is available at an additional cost.
