Traveling the world to visit aquariums stores and reef tanks is very exciting and I never know what I will get to see. This inspiring reef tank by Jimmy Huang on the outskirts of Taipei, Taiwan is the first I got to see in this amazing country and everything about this tank ticks all the boxes.
A clean aquarium, dynamic aquascape and beautiful corals are supported by great reef gear, a ton of lights, and a few tricks of Jimmy’s own. I especially love how he uses newer wireless outlets as his light timers, and the built-in macro algae turf scrubber inside the overflow box is a genius addition.
This tank is just at one year old in the video but as you can see from his current results, the standing crop of corals should grow out into a spectacular garden of corals. Big thanks to Cozer Li of Illumagic for bringing me to see this reef tank, and helping with all the translation necessary to understand how this reef tank operates.
