Tune in for part two of Jakes vlog tour of the Reef Builders studio. In this episode he is showing off his Innovative Marine Nuvo Ext 75g aquarium filled to the brim with flowing Euphyllia frags.
This tank is scapped with CaribSea Life Rock, and illuminated with two HME electronic Cetus 2. This tank is tied into a central aquarium system with the other three reef displays as well as a larger frag tank and sump.
To add flow to this tank Jake has added two EcoTech Marine Vortech MP10 pumps placed in the bottom of the tank. Jake has created a channel behind the Life Rock to create optimal water movement for these flow loving corals.
Because of these channel placed in the back of the tank Jake has opted to place corals on magnetic frag holder on the back wall. This works out well for the Galaxea and Plerogyra which has long stinging tentacles which come out at night.
One highlight of this tank is the Delicate anemone which Jake has placed in a small basket full of rubble. This anemone is related to a long tentacle anemone however, this beautiful red anemone prefers to lay flat on the rubble with its foot buried in the ground.
We can’t wait to see the progress of this tanks which is only an impressive 2 weeks old! If you haven’t already make sure to subscribe to the Reef Builders YouTube Channel and like and share the videos with you friends.
