Coral Frenzy Coral Foods got a significant upgrade earlier this summer with a new look that included improved product formulations and packaging while streamlining product options along with improving traceability and support for independent retailers. For Coral Frenzy, this is one of the biggest changes in its 13-year history.
Coral Frenzy streamlined its products down to just two formulations — a powder and a 0.5 mm pellet. On top of this, Coral Frenzy noted the food had been reformulated to include probiotics to improve nutritional impact and water quality. The reformulation also includes greater compliance with international requirements and ingredient restrictions, helping to extend international reach to countries like Australia and Japan.
“Coral Frenzy is very excited to share one of our largest updates since we launched our company in 2006. We’ve made compelling improvements to our coral feed formulations and revised our packaging. We’ve improved our policies to support the independent pet retailers better, and that’s just the start,” said Coral Frenzy president and founder Ken Easter in a statement to Reef Builders. “We can’t thank the reefing community enough for all their support and pushing us to get better all the time.”
Easter notes they list all ingredients on the label with no secret ingredients or fillers, “what you see is what you get in Coral Frenzy coral food.” The company has also added new sizes with 45, 90, and 180g sizes of the Coral Frenzy Powder and 65, 130, and 260g sizes of the pellets.
The refresh also includes a new logo and revising its product tracking, moving away from batch codes or manufactured dates in favor of serial numbers for improved product tracking down to the minute it was manufactured.
Another key area addressed by Coral Frenzy was supporting retailers, including independent stores, by eliminating the MSRP pricing and embracing minimum advertised pricing (MAP) to help level the playing field for all retailers.
MAP pricing for the Coral Frenzy Powder is currently $18.99 for 45g, $31.99 for 90g and $59.99 for the 180g containers. MAP pricing for Coral Frenzy Pellets is $14.99 for 65g, $21.99 for 130g and $34.99 for 260g.
