Kessil has a brand new accessory for their A360X Multichip LED spotlight which helps users get the most our of their lights. Whereas the previous 90 degree angle adapter simply pointed the kessil light downward into the tank from a gooseneck arm, the Full Angle Adapter gives the user of the A360X the option of pointing the light in hard to reach places of the reef aquarium.
The Full Angle Adapter is essentially a ball-mount of ball-joint that is tightened and loosened with a thumb screw to get three hundred and sixty degrees of rotation and around 45 degrees of angle to the light. You actually wouldn’t want to angle any light more than 30 degrees as at that point you would really start to lose light output and intensity due to reflection off the water surface.
Kessil’s new accessory for the Kessil A360X will be a great compliment to the solid mounting arm but users of the gooseneck arm – for this and any light really – can already get their desired ‘angle of attack’ simply by adjusting the gooseneck itself. We don’t yet have a price or release date for the full angle adapter but we can reasonably imagine that since the 90 degree adapter costs $20 the full angle will probably cost a little more.
This new angle adapter adds to Kessil’s ecosystem of accessories for the Kessil A360X including the $99 wifi dongle to add wireless connectivity and $29 magnetic reflector to focus the light output of the light.
