Earlier this month we hosted the 13th ReefStock in Denver, Colorado in a new venue which is not only much larger than any place we’ve used before, but with plenty of room to grow this veteran reef aquarium show. Along with the bigger space we welcomed more visitors than ever before, and almost doubled the number of booths, vendors and exhibitors to the mile high reef scene.
A lot has changed in our society since we hosted ReefStock 2020 in Denver Colorado just over a week ago, where we welcomed countless reefers from the local area and across the country. In the interim we’ve gotten word of major show cancellations and postponements across all industries, schools, bars & restaurants are shut down, and everyone is doing their part to self-quarantine, isolate, and #FlattenTheCurve.
We are extremely lucky and grateful that ReefStock was able to proceed as planned before the lock down because it turned out to be one of our best events yet. Thousands of corals, tons of new reef gear, nearly a hundred raffle prizes and lots and lots of great company made ReefStock 2020 the last ‘normal weekend’ we expect to see in regards to aquarium conferences for many weeks and perhaps months.
Despite the craziness we squeezed just barely enough time to put together a complete walkthrough, hopefully giving some isolated reef aquarists a sense that they practically attended the busy reef aquarium show.
