G’day Reefers! Ania the coral fragging fairy has graced us with another frag file video. In this new episode we learn about Seriatopora, Birdsnest coral a diverse, adaptable, and fast-growing corals perfect for beginner hobbyists but not to be forgotten by advanced refers.
These delicate SPS coral have a worldwide lineage with many unique color variations. Ania has a diverse selection of birdnest corals including the viral sensation Seriatopora dendritica we first wrote about in 2018 a Seriatopora that wishes it was an Acro.
In this episode, we also learn the surprising results from a previous episode quick tips for chalice frag. Ania fragged chalices with mostly mouth and pieces with only tissue. She found 100% success with the chalice pieces with mouths and an unfortunate loss to the tissue only frags.
