Reef Builders’ Late, Great Managing Editor Jake Adams would have been 42 years old today. So please join his wife Windsor and three-month-old son Reef in wishing him a Happy Birthday, remembering his contribution to the reef aquarium hobby, and celebrating his life.
Jake’s death was completely unexpected and rocked the reefing world. He had become the face and the voice of Reef Builders, he was and still is Reef Builders, and it’s been hard for everyone who knew him to come to terms with his passing.
But the Reef Builders brand that he created survives him, Windsor is part of the business now and in the future, and we can’t wait for young Reef to get involved in his dad’s legacy too.
October will be twelve months since Jake passed away while flying out to a three-week diving trip in Indonesia. Reef Builders will be celebrating Jake’s life during that period so we would love to hear stories from his nearest and dearest, people who knew him, your memories of reading, watching, or listening to Jake, and how he positively affected your reefing journey.
If you share Jake’s passion for corals and want to inform, educate, and entertain as he did, get in touch, and we just might publish your stories and articles on this, Jake’s platform. The above image shows Jake from way back in 2012.
