Lobophyllia vitiensis are typically passed over due to their drab coloration. This batch of vitiensis originating from the Solomon islands is anything but sporting some of the most impressive coloration I’ve seen on the species in recent years. In addition to an impressive haul of vitiensis this shipment also contained a few unique Blastmoussa I have not seen the likes of in the industry. The vitiensis in the thumbnail is the nicest I have seen with a UFO style pattern featuring a bright gold ring surrounding a lilac central mouth on a blue/purple base.
Extremely unique Blastomussa reminiscent of Exosphere zoanthids. This colony sold fast.
A nice almost war paint style vitiensis also featuring a defined ring.
Toxic/splatter phenotype with some gold highlights
A breathtaking orange and yellow dominant piece.
A piece reminiscent of some of the “rainbow blasto’s” in the industry.
Arguably the most unique piece in the bunch – a darker blastomussa colony with dark wine red centers and fluorescent brown ridges.
Overall this shipment contains some stunning show quality pieces. Most all of the colonies are still available on Vibrant’s website featured below. They are wholesale only so if you’re interested in these colonies you’ll need to contact your LFS.
