Red Sea has released details about their upcoming ReefControl and ReefSense components. This new addition to the automated controller market is sure to be a hit with those familiar with Red Sea’s ReefBeat app and other Red Sea products.
There are two models from which to choose, the ReefControl Lite and the ReefControl Pro. With a starting retail price of $329 for the Lite version, this puts aquarium monitoring well within the reach of the average reef keeper. Both versions can be expanded with additional ReefSense probes to meet the needs of individual systems. The ReefControl Pro Deluxe is bundled with a variety of probes for the advanced hobbyist.

The MyContoller Wizard is a very useful on-line tool to assist with sizing and selecting components. The wizard can be used to build and price the desired configuration while also providing the option of receiving a PDF of your build that can be taken to your favorite LFS or used to pick the components from your on-line retailer.
The Red Sea ReefControl Power is a smart, independent power center that lets the hobbyist switch their devices ON/OFF from your mobile, monitor their power use, and even integrate their non-Red Sea devices into ReefBeat’s schedules and safety routines. Each socket can have a unique daily schedule or be controlled by any of the ReefSense Probes and Sensors.

The ReefControl Power Deluxe includes a local controller with ON/OFF backlit pushbuttons for each socket, giving a visual indication of their status and providing easy access even when your hands are wet. A useful feature when performing maintenance, eliminating the need to fumble with your phone while trying to operate the screen controls with wet fingers.
We are excited to get our hands on these new products and give them a thorough run through. Our experience with other well designed Red Sea components such as their ReefMat series, ReefDose and ReefATO+ bode well for this new extension of the ReefBeat ecosphere.
All of the new ReefControl products are expected to be at retailers early next year. You can submit your interest through your favorite on-line aquatic marketplace, or let your LFS know that you are interested in adding these new products to your aquarium. Initial product releases will have limited quantities, get notified when they are available here.
