One of our favorite test kit manufacturers, Salifert, has been acquired by the Dutch company, Easy Life International. While most reefers have used (or at the very least heard of Salifert), Easy Life International may be a new name to them. However, the company has been around since 1998.
Per their announcement, Habib (Salifert owner) will join the Easy Life team to ensure a smooth transition as well as working in their product development department. For those of us who may be concerned about quality and/or supply issues, Easy Life states that Salifert will continue operating as an independent company with it’s full product range.

We are pleased to inform you that Easy Life International has recently acquired Salifert.
For many years, Salifert has been a well-known reference for the quality & reliability. These shared values are exactly why we wanted to bring our two companies together.
Easy Life International is a Dutch company founded in 1998 by Mr. Jan Laugeman (Biologist) and Mr. Toon Vermeule (Chemist), specialized in the development of aquarium treatments and solutions to improve water quality and fish health. Salifert’s expertise in producing high-precision test kits for measuring key water parameters in aquariums perfectly complements Easy Life’s mission: helping aquarists maintain stable, healthy aquatic environments.
In practical terms, this means for you:
- continuity of the Salifert product range
- maintaining the high quality standards
- new opportunities for development and innovation in the long term
Our teams are now working closely together to ensure a smooth transition and a consistently high level of service. Mr. Habib Sekha, the current owner of Salifert, will stay with us to ensure a full transfer of his knowledge and will remain active in the products development.
We would also like to reassure you that Salifert will continue to operate as an independent company. For you, this means that nothing changes at this stage: you can continue to place your orders and send your requests to the same email address. The phone number and company address also remain unchanged.
