The Manhattan Reefs community is an active group of marine aquarists with some new ideas about making an impact. The club organizes a very popular frag swap twice a year, they host one of the best attended parties at MACNA and with the second issue of their online Reefs Magazine they are redefining what it means to be a reef club. The magazine has a strongly personal feel with a vivid cover page that also serves as the table of contents. Topics of the publication are diverse including interviews with club members and authors, colorful accounts of club activities and galleries of marine art photography. This is their second issue so far but we do hope that they will continue their efforts to make the first club produced online reef magazine.
