Vertex Alpha Cone Skimmer 170, 200 specifications

While we knew about the Alpha 200 and Alpha 170 cone skimmers we didn’t have anything in the specifications department. Thankfully, information about these skimmers has surfaced. We had thought that the Alpha 170 would be much smaller than quoted with a footprint of 9″ x 13.75″ it takes a bit of space, but most of that will probably go to the mini red dragon which you will never hear us complain about. Like we said earlier, the actual cone design is made out of PETG Ozone-safe plastic which allows these cone protein skimmers to be sold at a lower cost if the skimmers were made out of acrylic, possibly bumping up the cost by at least $200 or more.
