The Census of Marine Life has been diggin up new species all over the place and in this latest run they’ve ballooned the number of species known from a single area of the Great Barrier Reef. The newly discovered species range from the lare to the small and a large amounf of the species are being discovered by collecting dead corals and breaking them apart to see what lives inside. If corals can harbor dozens of previously unknown and cryptic species within their branches, it’s very likely that many undescribed species have already made their way into your aquarium. So get to it, start breaking up your old corals and totoka rock and let us know what new species you discover.
