We don’t know whether to be more impressed by the quality of the superman montipora coral or the time lapse macro-photography video. The video above starts out innocuous enough but once you get to the halfway mark, you’ll get a sneak peak at the unique panning time lapse photography style which is the focus of a forthcoming short film on Montipora by Vimeo user Delrious. The combination of panning and time lapse gives a truly original view of how small polyp corals extend and retract their polyps over time. Timing the coral polyps with the sound of the music earns Delrious a few more gold stars for his work. Hopefully we’ll get word soon on when this instant classic short film will be released.
