The OT2 T5 and LED hybrid luminaire from Arcadia lighting is a forthcoming lighting fixture whith the potential to blend the best of both types of lighting sources. The product is set to launch in 25 days from now, as indicated by a huse teaser ticker counter on the product webpage which promises to reveal “full details” when the timer is up. The styling on this lighting unit couldn’t be any sexier from this angle and we can wait to look under the hood of this bad boy. As with most Arcadia products, this T5LED hybrid will most certainly make a European launch well before this product makes it statside (if it isn’t intimidated by Orbitech’s bogus patent). Althought no other details about this light have been specifically revealed, we predict the OT2 will have a hinged design which allows for easier access to the aquarium without removing the fixture, as evidenced by the features of some other Arcadia luminaires. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
