In the midst of all the MACNA frenzy, we thought we’d take a little break and show off this video we made at LiveAquaria showing off each species of the possum wrasses, Wetmorella sp. . Although you’d be lucky to spot even one of these in a normal aquarium shop, LiveAquaria was holding and conditioning each species, all neatly arranged in the same row for our easy videotaping pleasure.
The correction we’d like to make is on the actual identity of W. triocellata. We’ve discussed the status of this species with teh FIsh Monger himself and it turns out that ‘triocellata’ was applied to another species before the description of what we now call ‘triocellata’ so the bigger possum wrasse should actually be called W. tanakai.
