LED spotlighting is an exciting new offshoot of the even lighting spread of LED and other conventional lighting. The image of this little nano cube reef shows the extremely dramatic effect of LED spotlighting. This ADA mini S cube garden is lit up with a ’20K’ Par 38 lamp from Nano Customs and the dramatic effect it can produce is among the most aesthetic I have ever used. I really want to say more about the PAR 38 lamp from Nano Customs; about how bright it is, the great color rendition and the low power draw etc but for now I am content to simply show you the look of my little nano cube reef using this exciting new product. This tank has been illuminated exclusively with LED lighting of one form or another since early summer but the EvilC66 PAR 38 lamp is by far the best looking LED lamp I have tried so far in terms of how it makes my corals look, and how it makes the entire tank look. Big thanks to Nano Customs for sending the review lamps, we’ll revisit the PAR 38 LED spotlight shortly with a lot more details on PAR, performance and overall impressions.
