The Vertex Cerebra is the brainchild of an ambitious plan by Vertex to do for aquariums what the iPhone has done for mobile computing and smartphones. Touchscreen, check. HD, check. Do it all aquarium controller, check. Downloadable appplications from an app store, check. WLAN, wireless, bluetooth, GSM, SD card, USB and a gazillion other acronyms are all part of the enormous back of tricks of this very ambitious product.
The Cerebra has a 7 inch full color screen. The Cerebra seen at the vertex booth is just a prototype currently using a resistive touchscreen but we were informed that the production model will hopefully launch with a resistive touchscreen.
