The manual protein skimmer head cleaner from Deltec is an idea so simple that you’d think it would have been conceived and built well before we had these $1000 self cleaning heads that cost more than the skimmer. What can we say about it? The squeegie blades are attached to a piece of plastic, which itself is fastened to the lid. The lid has an easy rotating grip and a simple twist of the lid will give the protein skimmer neck the wipe down it needs. Deltec is not even showing this item on the event floor, only behind closed doors because there are so many Chinese manufacturers looking for products to rip off at this show. It’s such a simple concept that we presume some of our readers will have one DIY’d within the hour. Sometimes the best and most innovative product designs are also the simplest. Our hats off to Deltec for this one, it will easily be one of the most relevant new features we see at InterZoo this weekend.
