One of my favourite events of 2025 was the Tidal Gardens open house event. Than never disappoints, but he kicked it up a notch for his last event: from speakers to amazing food and drink, it was the mini-reef show we didn’t know we needed. To make the weekend even better, I did a side quest and took a group to Eye Catching Corals for a little tour of their facility.
This year, they’ve teamed up to make it official: Tidal Gardens on October 23 and Eye Catching Coral on October 24. As the 2nd year of the show, this one promises to be even bigger and better than last year. I can’t wait to see everyone. Make sure you register in advance!
Friday October 23rd, 12PM to 12AM: Tidal Gardens Social and Speaker Event
12PM – Social and Facility Tour (fully catered lunch provided)
5PM – Speakers
Noel Heinsohn, Wild Reef Manager at Shedd Aquarium will be the first speaker followed by a live Reef Beef with Rich and Ben.

Saturday October 24th, 2PM to 8PM: Eye Catching Coral Social and Facility Tour

2PM – Open House Starts (Light Refreshments will be provided)
3PM – Aquaculture Facility Guided Tour with Owners Ben & Jim
5PM – Wild Coral Facility Guided Tour with Owners Ben & Jim
6PM – Local BBQ Catering & Drinks
8PM – Event Concludes for the day
Sunday October 25th, 9AM to 5PM – Eye Catching Coral Coral Purchasing
