The Pico Evo Mag from Hydor are an iterative revision of the powerheads formerly known as pico evolution mini pumps. Like the revision of the Hydor Korallia Evolution pumps, the Pico Evo Mag takes a familiar design and makes incremental improvements such as reduced power draw, wave timer compatibility and directional magnet mounts. Whereas the Pico 600 and 1200 used to draw 4 and 8 watts respectively, now the Pico Evo Mag 650 draws 3.5watts and the Pico Evo Mag 1200 draws just 7 watts. No word on whether these will be developed in other sizes but with an improved powerhead, nano reefers will likely find many uses for Hydor’s new Pico Evo Mag.
Pico Evo Mag from Hydor will be useful for nano reefers
