If the xanthic scribbled regal angelfish we saw in the back room of Taunton Aquatics Centre wasn’t enough to surprise us then the full blown aquarium quarantine system was. Even in the U.S it is rare to see a dedicated quarantine/conditioning aquarium system in a store, let alone one that was so thorough and packing the loveliest of rare reef fish morphs, a sorta xanthic, half scribbled regal angelfish.
It wasn’t clear how long Taunton AC had had this fish, but it was relaxed and eating enough to suggest that the fish was ready for sale. We can’t help but wonder of they thought this specimen is a faded pale but the lack of lights on that holding system could explain why the full glory of this fish had probably not yet been appreciated.
If you happen to shop or work at Taunton Aquatic Centre in Somerset, UK please do drop in and let us know how this unique aberrant colored regal angelfish is doing in captivity.
