The series of Blue reactors from AquaMedic are a multi-function type of recirculating canister which can be outfitted to do a number of tasks. As a departure from the older AquaMedic blocky rectangular nitrate and calcium reactors, the Blue calcium reactor, nitrate reductor and Suplhur nitrate reductor are cylindrical in footprint and they are all designed with smaller aquarium volumes in mind, with maximum operating aquarium volumes being in the 1000 liter/260 gallon range. These compact canister-filter style reactors all ship with the relevant medias, 4 Kg of Hydrocarbonat for the KR Blue, Deniballs and Denibac for the NR Blue and Sulphur Pearls and Hydrocarbonat for the SN Blue. All the of AquaMedic’s blue reactors feature quick disconnect fittings for semi rigid water line (RO Tubing) with inlet and outlet, the calcium reacor KR blue has an inlet for CO2 and a probe port while the Nitrate Reductor NR Blue features a port for the bacteria food. A container of AquaMedic’s blue reactors is currently on it’s way to the USA but we have no information on expected retail price.
AquaMedic’s Blue reactor serves triple duty as calcium reactor (KR blue), nitrate reductor (NR blue) and Sulphur Nitrate Reductor (SR blue)
