The innovative designs of Singapore’s aquarium product manufacturer Skimz will soon be coming to Canada, the US and Mexico via Aqua-Digital, which has just struck an exclusive deal with Skimz to become their North American distributor. Aqua-Digital said of the deal “we chose this brand over others as we liked what we saw in terms of pump being used, this being the Eden pump, and also the very well built CNC machined components plus the manufacturers desire to only use high quality fittings such as George Fischer “GF” fittings”. Furthermore, Skimz has gone the extra mile to make their product line amenable to different worldwide markets by getting TUV approval. Aqua-Digital will first bring in the Skimz Monzter (SM) range of protein skimmers like those pictured above with the smallest SM121 (not pictured) to retail for an expected $299 arriving in September at the latest. Skimz products are not the same portmanteaux of components we’re used to seeing from many mass produced Chinese aquarium products so we look forward to seeing a distinctive new product line in the North American reef aquarium hobby.
