Recall is such a nasty term, that we hardly think it applies to what Ecotech Marine is issuing today regarding the replacement of battery backup cables. Owners of Ecotech Marine’s new and improved battery backup for Vortech pumps will be sent a free replacement cable incorporating a fuse between the pump and the battery. Owners of the original battery backup for Vortech pumps, which was made by IceCap, should contact IceCap regarding replacement cables. In any case, replacement cables will be available on the Ecotech Marine parts store for just $1.50, and we are unaware of any incidents which have led up to this “recall.”
