Looks like GHL will be the second controller maker to join the third party control of wireless Vortech pumps with an add-on module for the Profilux aquarium controller. As of next Monday 7/19, Aqua-Digital will start taking pre orders for the Vortech Module of the GHL Profilux aquarium controller. The Profilux Vortech Module will cost $149, same as the Apex WXM from Neptune System, but the pre-order price will come with a 10% discount. The GHL Vortech Module will only play nice with the Profilux III so if you want your GHL and Ecotech controllers to Tango, you’ll have to pony up for the upgrade. The Profilux will be able to supercede all of the built in programming and we’ve already thrown in our suggestion for pumps to turn completely off when in pulse mode, and for the the long pulse of more than two, maddeningly-short minutes on long pulse/gyre flow mode. Release date is set for third week in August so more realistically that means it will be ready in time for that little reef aquarium show happening in early September.
