The Mini Aqualight T5 from Coralife is the first real revision to the iconic form factor since it was launched in the early nineties. Hearkening back to the days of reefing when power compact lamps were just breaking out in 9 and 13 watts, the original Coralife Mini Aqualight was called the Mini Might, which was available in a single and double lamp configuration. For many reefers, the Coralife Mini Might was our first taste of what power compact lamps had to offer since larger lamps wouldn’t become available for a few more years. Zoom to present day 2010 and T5 lamps are taking over all manner of fluorescent lighting applications and it was a matter of time before the Mini Might received the makeover with half inch t00bs. Measuring 11″ long, the new Mini Aqualight is stocked with two six watt T5 HO lamps which are both backed up by individual reflectors. This T5 Mini Aqualight is certain to become a hobby staple for nano tanks, refugiums, and all manner of constrained lighting applications. The Coralife T5 Mini Aqualight should be coming online in the next few weeks with an estimated retail in the $50 neighborhood, and follow the break for a few more angles of the new T5 Mini Might.
