In the constant pursuit of better spread and usability, Maxspect has made a change to it’s G2 160 Extreme model that should make it even more desirable. The G2-160 is currently using two large 30 watt multichip LEDs which produce a concentration of heat and equally large lenses which produce a concentration of light. With active cooling the G2 Extreme is more than able to handle the heat load but now the Extreme version of the 160 watt LED light will be using double the number of 15 watt multichips which will give a much better light spread to the Maxspect fixture. The G2 and G2 Extreme LED fixtures from Maxspect are already available from Fins Reef with the G2-110 Extreme selling for $649 and the G2-160 Extreme selling ro $799.
