The Reef Capable LED is the second generation solid state light from Marineland which is a huge improvement over the first Double Bright LED. Although the Reef Capable LED could use a little more blue for reef applications, this LED light is certainly capable fo growing light demanding plants and corals on small to medium sized tanks. With Marineland’s global distribution network, the Reef Capable will likely be the first real LED light that many aquarists ever own, and they’ll be able to get one as early as this weekend since the light will be shipping to retailers starting this week. For more info on the Reef Capable LED see our post on unboxing post of the Marineland LED and out comparison of the Reef Capable and Double Bright LEDs.
Reef Capable LED from Marineland should begin shipping to retailers this week
