Colangia, Culicia and Astrangia are not exactly the corals you’d think of when someone mentions azoox corals. Like Arcohelia before them, the latest crop of Azoox corals from West Africa like the Red Colangia and yellow-orange Culicia will hopefully foster more interest in non-photosynthetic reefing than the Schizoculina also from West Africa.
LiveAquaria is exercising their friendly relationship with the sole supplier of CITES documented coral from West Africa by once again being the first to market with African coral goods; the hot orange Colangia pictured above is scheduled to land in the NPS section of the Diver’s Den sometime tonight, with more pieces being released in the coming days and weeks.
