The color changing RGB LED strip light from Sunshine Systems might seem like an unlikely addition to an aquarium but for the price, it’s definitely worth consideration as mood lighting. The 16 foot, 25 watt color controllable roll can tune to 12 pre-programmed colors which are adjustable with the remote control. The blister-packaged RGB LED roll is being marketed by the same people who are pimpin’ the Growspot LED spotlight which is kind of strange because this color LED roll clearly isn’t for growing anything, let alone corals, algae, tomatoes or peppers.
Unlike the iGlo LED set which is wifi controlled with flashing, blinking and chase programs, the RGB LED roll from Sunshine Systems is just on and off, with varying levels of brightness. You’re not likely to be growing much with this colored LED roll unless you wrap it around your nano a dozen times but at just under $100 retail, this is one novelty which you can afford for red light night viewing, yellow-orange sunrise simulations and so on.
