If you happen to be an owner of a Google TV or device with access to Google TV, a fun new app helps you get your aquarium fix and will save you tons of money on salt mix, additives, food, controllers, LED lighting, rare fish and exotic coral. This isn’t a new concept as aquarium screen savers have been out for years and of course don’t forget the yule log, but this one definitely is a great way to get your quick aqauarium fix.
There are five different scenes from a goldfish and bubbling castle motif, to a poor version of a “reef” and some other saltwater fish choices. There is even an option to play some soothing music in the background but apparently doesn’t allow you to play your own Google Music in the background instead.
While apps and screen savers like these are novel ideas aimed at the general market, we really wish the developer Arrowhead Technologies, would touch base with us for some better suggestions for more realistic and more impressive saltwater aquarium scenes. Heck, we could even give some recommendations for some awesome planted tanks that would supercharge this app.
Overall, if you have $0.99 and a Google TV, this is worth the change but we’d definitely love to see some better scenery choices.
